Life Cycle Environmental Impact Considerations in the Design of Novel Biobased Polyurethane Coatings

چکیده
Substituting fossil-based with biobased chemical building blocks can potentially decrease the environmental impact of polyurethane (PU) coating production. This study applies life cycle assessment methods in early development three processes that incorporate elements into PU production: a fully made organosolv lignin (OSL) and cross-linker from vanillic acid (VA) two hybrid coatings either OSL or depolymerized OSL. Coatings had impacts 1.5, 2.6, 19.9 kg CO2eq/kgcoating for OSL, coating, respectively. Emissions are mostly associated solvents heat needed production biomass-derived cross-linker. While this demonstrates use compounds reduce comparison to versions, additional cross-linkers research end-of-life scenarios further

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)
cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Life cycle of the corn-soybean agroecosystem for biobased production.
Biobased product life cycle assessments (LCAs) have focused largely on energy (fossil fuel) usage and greenhouse gas emissions during the agriculture and production stages. This paper compiles a more comprehensive life cycle inventory (LCI) for use in future bioproduct LCAs that rely on corn or soybean crops as feedstocks. The inventory includes energy, C, N, P, major pesticides, and U.S. EPA c...

Poultry meat with a high share in the food consumption is one of the most basic products for supplying protein to households. Due to the high amount of pollutants in this part, the environmental impact of the production of this product is necessary. In the present study, the environmental impact of broiler chicken production in both industrial and traditional breeding methods were evaluated ...
